Law 1581 of 2012 - Decree 1377 of 2013
This document includes the Information Processing Policies adopted by Backend Helpers SAS in compliance with Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013, which regulates the protection of personal data and especially the handling of inquiries and related claims. It also defines the principles for processing and guarantees rights for the owners of personal data.

2.Regulatory Background
2.1. Article 15 of the Political Constitution
"All persons have the right to their personal and family privacy and to their good name, and the State must respect and enforce them. Likewise, they have the right to know, update, and rectify information collected about them in databases and in the files of public and private entities.In the collection, processing, and circulation of data, freedom and other guarantees enshrined in the Constitution shall be respected".
2.2. Article 20 of the Political Constitution
Request for the personal information of the owner stored in any database used by BACKEND HELPERS SAS, for which it is obligated to provide the owner or their successors in title with all information contained in the individual record or that is linked to the identification of the Owner.
3.Object
To disclose the Information Processing Policies and procedures of the Personal Data Protection System implemented by BACKEND HELPERS SAS in order to guarantee proper compliance with Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1377 of 2013, which aim to develop the constitutional right of all persons to know, update, and rectify information collected about them in databases or files, and the other constitutional rights, freedoms, and guarantees referred to in Article 15 of the Political Constitution; as well as the right to information enshrined in Article 20 thereof.
4.Scope of Application
The policies and procedures contained in this document will apply to personal data recorded in any database that may be processed by BACKEND HELPERS SAS. These policies are binding on BACKEND HELPERS SAS as the data controller, as well as on the data processors who process personal data on behalf of BACKEND HELPERS SAS. Both the controller and the data processors must safeguard the security of the databases containing personal data and maintain confidentiality regarding the processing. These Information Processing Policies came into effect on July 27, 2013.
5.Definitions
5.1 Authorization
Prior, express, and informed consent of the Data Subject to carry out the processing of personal data.
5.2 Database
An organized set of personal data that is subject to processing.
5.3 Personal data
Any information linked or that can be associated with one or more natural persons who are identified or identifiable.
5.4 Data Processor
A natural or legal person, public or private, who, alone or in association with others, carries out the processing of personal data on behalf of the data controller.
5.5 Data Controller
A natural or legal person, public or private, who, alone or in association with others, decides on the database and/or the processing of data.
5.6 Data Subject
A natural person whose personal data is subject to processing.
5.7 Processing
Any operation or set of operations on personal data, such as collection, storage, use, circulation, or deletion.
5.8 Inquiries
Request for the personal information of the owner stored in any database used by BACKEND HELPERS SAS, for which it is obligated to provide the owner or their successors in title with all information contained in the individual record or that is linked to the identification of the Owner.
